ELS Solar UPS is an integrated system consisting of a solar charge controller, transformer-based inverter and an AC (mains) charger. Batteries are charged either through solar (PV), grid (mains) or with sharing of current (PV and Mains). The system gives priority to solar power first and uses grid power only when solar power and battery charge is insufficient to meet the load requirements. When the battery is fully charged the system will automatically turn on the inverter to supply the load.
Features:
- 5h20min backup time @920W load (4x 100Ah Batteries, no solar panels).
- 4h20min backup time @600W load (2x 100Ah Batteries, no solar panels).
- Automatic utilization of available solar power.
- Preference to solar power when available.
- Pure sine wave output inverter.
- Heavy duty battery charger with current sharing.
- Option to switch off current sharing (if solar current > 3A).
- Multi stage battery charger.
- Smart overload and short circuit protection.
- Intelligent thermal management system.
- LCD display to monitor the system.
- Transformer-based Inverter (increased reliability and maintainability).
AC Mains Mode Specification:
- AC input Range: 100 to 290V (Wide Range – Inverter Mode), 180 to 265V (Narrow Range – UPS mode) +10V.
- Change over time: <50 milliseconds (Wide Range), <10 milliseconds (Narrow range).
- AC charging: 15A DC (Maximum).
- Grid charging can be turned on and off with the toggle switch on the user interface.
Solar Charging Specifications:
- Maximum current: 40A.
- Protection: Over Current PV reverse, battery over charge, reverse current flow.
- PV Panels Maximum: 3x 320W 24V panels in parallel (960W).
- PWM Charging.
Backup Mode Specifications:
- Output Waveform – Sinewave.
- Output Voltage – 230 Volt AC nominal.
- Overload protection – Retries 5 times & output off.
- Short Circuit protection – Retries once & output off.
- Continuous 1.4kW (230Vac – 6A)
- Startup currents: 1.6kW (230Vac – 6.95A)
Batteries:
- Minimum battery capacity: 100Ah (2x 100Ah 12V).
- Maximum battery capacity in standard cabinet: 220Ah.
- The physical space in the cabinet is limited and determines the maximum battery capacity. It is however possible to install extra batteries outside the cabinet (no upper limit on battery capacity).
Expansion: More Inverters
- Cannot be installed in parallel.
